Roman
Catholicism
The Roman
Catholic Church of today is not representative of the
early Christian church during the days of the Apostles.
Many doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church are rooted
in human tradition and have no real biblical basis.
Tradition in and of itself is not bad or faulty, but all
traditions MUST be examined by scripture, which is the
true word of God. If a tradition cannot not be validated
by God's word then it must be deemed invalid. The Roman
Catholic Church has developed many invalid man-made
traditions, such as the Marian doctrines, purgatory, the
Eucharist, etc. Below is a list of doctrines that we
will examine and try to come to a biblical decision as
to whether they are truly legitimate and deserve to be
practiced by Christians.
John 6:53-57 and the
Eucharist: Does this verse confirm the Roman Catholic
teaching on the Eucharist? What does the Roman Catholic
Church believe about the Eucharist?
What about Mary?: Has the
Roman Catholic Church elevated her too high? Taking a
look at one of the many teachings about Mary.
Salvation: Is it possible
outside the Roman Catholic Church? What do they teach
about this topic?
